This is a key opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join the European Sales Team of Curtiss-Wright's Valves Division, representing, Farris pressure relief management solutions and Dyna-Flo process control equipment.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to plan, organize and develop the assigned territory's market through an independent distribution network and direct sales. Working with and through the Representative and Distributor network the Sales Manager will expand market share with existing and new accounts and be responsible to develop and recommend strategies in conjunction with the representatives that will produce maximum market penetration while maintaining profitability.

This is a home office-based opportunity, located in mainland Europe (Germany, Spain, Netherlands or, France). This role will require extensive travel throughout the region to be successful. In addition to English, the successful candidate will speak at least one other European language.

**Major Accountabilities / Deliverables:**

* Create and drive effective sales initiatives according to the strategic objectives of the business.

* Grow sales of Curtis-Wright Products in the defined territories across the markets the Division serves

* Plan, assist with the Organisation and Participate in appropriate exhibitions and customer seminars.

* Work effectively with company Managers to design and execute sales initiatives for the designated Region.

* Ensure relationships with Representatives, Distributors and designated Key Accounts are maintained to ensure continuation of business relationships, maximising sales and profitability and extending the sales reach within each account.

* Ensure all reports, Project Tracking and all customer files in CRM are maintained accurately, including visit reports, key personnel, sales history, future opportunities and competitive information

* Work with our distributors and representatives in the territory, and their employees, such that opportunities can be identified, qualified and pursued in the respective territories.

* Ensure that the distributors and representatives in the territory are fully trained in our products and are fully aware of the applications in which they are used. Annually assess and report back their performance.

* Be aware of the order bookings across the territory, liaising with the Internal Sales Offices as required and taking action as required to bring in orders.

* Ensure that sales leads are promptly followed up.

* Ensure that you are always equipped to respond to customer and representative requests, especially when travelling.

* Liaise with all necessary parties to ensure post-sales support is effective. At all times be aware as to the status of customers regarding the business relationship with them.

* Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance across your region.

* Provide technical, application, product and sales support to our customers.

* Liaise with Customers and Representatives to select suitable products for applications. This may also involve input into the possible development of new products and in working with the Engineering teams during projects. Provide marketing information as to customer requirements, regional trends, competitors, etc. as required.

* Produce detailed visit reports within a reasonable period following a visit.

**Essential Criteria:**

* Minimum 5 years outside sales experience, ideally Internationally, selling Technical Valve Products is essential. Selling Pressure Relief Valves and Process Control Equipment would be ideal.

* Experience of promoting valve product lines in EPC Contractor, OEM and end user environment in the fluid or Hydrocarbon Process Industries is preferred.

* Strong understanding of fluid and/or process systems.

* Experience in managing an International Representative and Distributor network and large Key Accounts

* Proven sales background and the delivering against financial targets

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Technical competence with an engineering background

* Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft products

* Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of people, up to very senior levels.

* Able to undertake all activities in a disciplined and professional manner.

* Prepare for, attend and contribute actively to meetings as required, and take all follow-up actions in agreed timescales.

* Excellent organisational skills, the ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.

* Highly self-motivated and the ability to work without supervision.
