Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Pharmacist to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing medication inventory, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Duties

- Provide direct patient care through medication administration, patient assessment, and patient education.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
- Utilize aseptic technique to prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with critical care teams, including PICU and ICU, to optimize medication therapy and patient care.
- Participate in medication therapy management and provide consultations on medication use.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medication documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including those related to medication administration and patient safety.
- Engage in professional development and participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with clinical pharmacy practices and hospital medicine.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and principles.
- Excellent patient service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in medication administration and aseptic technique.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in critical care.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine and ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals from various disciplines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

* Pharmacy residency: 1 year (Preferred)
