This fulltime role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) fostering collaboration with families and school staff and employing effective teaching strategies to promote academic and social growth.

Working in a selfcontained classroom the teacher will tailor educational plans to meet each students unique challenges. Collaboration with caregivers and colleagues is essential to creating wellrounded strategies that ensure student success. This position offers guaranteed hours through the school year with the potential for renewal based on performance.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education.
  
• Strong communication organizational and collaboration skills.
  
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  
• Prior experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
  
• Patience empathy and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
